  1. I feel so ancient..I was 37..but raised in an era when the USA was the unchallenged power on Earth..invulnerable. I was teaching high school; when we first heard the news, my young students understood it's truth much more readily than I did. I thought it was an accident involving a small private plane..or a military plane as struck the Empire State Building in '45… Unfortunately for me..I'm of those two or three generations of the peak of US power who now have to see it rapidly decline…

  2. i was 11 years old when 9/11 happened and watched everything unfold live on TV in my social studies class. Ever since i was a kid my country has been under attack. I left for Basic Military Training the day after the Boston bombing last year. As an American and a human being i will fight till i die to protect the lives of the innocent people of the United States and any other country in the world that is threatened by heartless terrorists. On a side note i will always love and respect our allies across the pond. haha

  3. I was in 2nd grade when 9/11 happened. I will remember that day forever. Class had just started, when the teacher of the other second grade class (they were with another teacher at the time) came in and told us to turn on the TV. We watched as the second plane hit, and a few hours later we were home, as school ended early. I think it was because, not only were we near a large city, but a city with a city which held not only a large international airport, but is the state capitol as well.

The next thing I remember is sitting down in my living room, and watching as the towers collapsed. The memory of what happened that day, will be burned into my brain, until the day I die.
