May turns to trade unions in plea for Brexit backing

Theresa May has called Trade Union leaders today as she hunts for enough votes to get her Brexit deal through the Commons.

The Government has also met Labour MPs to find out if they would back the deal if there were more pledges on workersโ€™ rights.

But the Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn said his party won’t support the deal and if the Government loses the vote, there should be a General Election.

  1. I blame the stupid numskulls who voted for these main parties to deliver brexit there was only one party to deliver brexit and that was U.K.IP can't you get educated. these partys have destroyed this country. wake up people and smell the coffee.

  2. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
    She did WHAT!

  3. Pointless , for the people that voted leave . who do we vote for if we had a general election right now , lib dems are pro EU , Tory's are pro EU , labour are pro EU , green party are pro EU , and every time something goes wrong in this country right now somehow brexit is to blame . so the only way forward is a referendum on how we leave ( not remain ) on how we leave and let the people show the government the way forward ! And I say that as it is the only way right now !

  4. What a hypocrite , they have been cutting public services and jobs
Under funding the police , under funding the National Health .
And now they want the UNIONS to (HELP THEM) change what the (MAJORITY) of British people voted for.๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ You couldnโ€™t make this up ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ…Ordinary people are fed up getting SCREWED.

  5. The EU are in the driving seat, and the clock is ticking ,everything else is political pantomime as the negotiations were muffed up from the start and cannot be fixed in the time frame available.

  6. What is the problem ??? Michael Gove and Boris Johnson "Won". I saw them in shock when they "Won". They can answer what "Leave " means. Didn't they know what "Leave means Leave" when they campaigned ? Perhaps they should ask Dominic Cummings ?
Have I missed something ….or are the British Public simply pawns to promote their own selfish political ambitions ?

  7. talk about desperate, she wants Labour and the unions to support her!! the tories did their level best to crush every trade unionist in Britain,And her and her gang of multi millionaire thugs have turned this country into a third world sweat shop,to deal with May is to deal with the devil and Labour MPs should have nothing to do with her!

  8. May is on her way out, I want to see her in the gutter where she belongs, she will end up the same as Cameron, shitting her crusty knickers and resigning, we can then have a party, corbyn should take his medication for Alzheimerโ€™s,lol

  9. there are going to be so many "portillo moments" at the next election ! every tory losing their seat , having to give a speech congratulating the new ukip mps while holding back the tears

  10. I work in a heavily unionised environment and I voted to leave because the EU is run like a dictatorship in all but name. The way "our" elected leader has been instructed to behave towards us like a pseudo agent of Brussels, instead of PM of the United kingdom, with United kingdom interests first, is an illuminating case in point…

I'm going to vote against Teresa May in the next general election, can someone explain to me how and when the people of Europe get an opportunity to vote for or against the leaders of the EU???.

  11. Winston Church Hill,
Wrote. We should learn from this costly war, that so few fort. For the many.
We are a sovereign country, this we should return to. In our exit from this bristly moneytary political bullying octopus like monster.
