The 23-year-old internet star joked he plans to “go gay” for a month in a recent video alongside Twitter influencer Brother Nature.
In the podcast episode, Paul discusses his New Year Resolutions, saying: “So our New Year’s resolution… we’re vegan now, and we’re sober?”
His video series co-host Mike Majlak then chips in: “Just for the month.”
“January is sober vegan January,” Paul adds. “February is …”
“Fatal February,” Majlak replies. “We’re gonna go opposite. So day one, steaks, big bottles of Tito’s [vodka] and shit, just wilin’ out.”
Brother Nature then asks what the duo plans to do for March, with Paul responding: “What is it, male only March?
“We’re gonna attempt to go gay for just one month.”
This prompts Majlak to joke: “For one month, and then swing… and then go back.”
But the comments have sparked a huge backlash on social media, with fans accusing Paul of being homophobic.
“Logan Paul is a homophobic/transphobic bigot who offended the entire LGBTQIA+ community, he should be de platformed for his #hatecrime,” wrote one.
Another person tweeted: “Tbh why haven’t we cancelled him yet? His homophobic comment was the last straw”.
And one outraged fan vowed to never watch his videos again, adding: “Logan Paul doesn’t deserve fame, or money. He’s a moron who thinks joking about going gay is funny.”
But this isn’t the first time Paul, who boasts over 18 million YouTube subscribers, has provoked fury through one of his videos.
Last January, Logan Paul was forced to apologise after posting a video of himself in Japan’s infamous Aokigahara forest – a site that has become a common place for people to commit suicide.
The blogger was filming when his group stumbled across a person who had killed himself.
Critics blasted Paul for posting the graphic clip to millions of his young followers and for giggling during the horror discovery.
